How to Quote a Roofing Job: Australian Roofer's Pricing Guide

Roofing quotes carry more risk than most trades — access, height, weather and hidden damage all move the real number once you're up there. The quotes that protect you are the ones that itemise the work and spell out what happens when you find rot or rust under the surface. Here's how to price roofing work accurately for the Australian market.

What a roofing quote should include

• Business name, ABN, licence and insurance details
• Quote number, date and expiry
• Client name and site address
• Itemised scope — restoration, replacement, repointing, guttering as separate lines
• Roof type and material specified — Colorbond, terracotta or concrete tile changes everything
• Access and scaffolding as its own line where required
• Materials and labour shown separately, plus GST, payment terms and exclusions
