REFUND POLICY
Refunds and cancellations.

1. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee on First Paid Charge
If you are not satisfied with InstaQuotes within the first 7 days of your first paid subscription charge, you may request a full refund of that charge. To qualify:
- Your request must be made within 7 calendar days of the date the first charge was processed by Stripe.
- The refund applies only to the first paid charge after your free trial ends.
- Renewals, subsequent monthly charges, and annual plan charges after the first one are not eligible for refund under this guarantee.
2. How to Request a Refund
Email support@instaquotes.com.au with:
- The email address on your account
- The date of the charge
- A brief reason for the refund request
We aim to respond within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 7 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. The time the refund takes to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer (typically 5–10 business days after we process it).
3. Subscription Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings (via the Stripe Customer Portal) or by emailing support@instaquotes.com.au.
- Cancellation stops future renewals.
- You retain access to InstaQuotes until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
- We do not pro-rata refund the unused portion of a billing period when you cancel — your subscription continues to the end of the period and then stops.
- Unused add-on credits remain on your account. If you resubscribe in the future, the credits are still there. Add-on credits do not expire and are not pro-rata refunded when you cancel.
3a. Add-On Credit Purchases (10 Extra Quotes for $15)
Add-on credit purchases are one-time charges, not a subscription. The credits added to your account do not expire and remain available across billing cycles.
Refunds for add-on purchases:
- You may request a refund of an add-on purchase within 7 calendar days of the date the charge was processed, but only if no credits from that purchase have been consumed.
- Once any credit from a purchased add-on pack has been used to generate a quote, the entire add-on purchase becomes non-refundable, regardless of how recent the purchase was.
- After 7 days from purchase, all add-on purchases are non-refundable, even if no credits have been used.
4. Annual Plan Refunds
For annual plans:
- The 7-day guarantee applies the same way: a full refund of the annual charge is available if requested within 7 days of the first annual charge being processed.
- After 7 days, no refund is available for the remaining months of the annual term, but you may cancel future renewals at any time.
4a. Trial Limits
Your free 7-day trial includes generation of up to 7 quotes. You may reach the quote limit before the 7-day period ends, in which case you will be prompted to upgrade to a paid plan to continue. There is no charge during the trial and therefore nothing to refund. If you upgrade and are subsequently charged, the 7-day money-back guarantee in Section 1 applies from the date of the first paid charge.
5. Failed Services or Unauthorised Charges
If InstaQuotes fails to deliver the service substantially as described (for example, due to an extended outage or repeated failure of core functionality), or if you have been charged in error, please contact support@instaquotes.com.au. We will investigate and, where appropriate, issue a pro-rata or full refund regardless of the 7-day window.
6. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
This policy does not exclude or limit any consumer guarantees that you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Where those guarantees apply, they prevail over the terms of this refund policy. In particular, services in Australia come with guarantees that they will be:
- Provided with due care and skill
- Fit for any disclosed purpose
- Provided within a reasonable time
If a major failure of these guarantees occurs, you are entitled to cancel this service and obtain a refund for the amount paid, together with compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. For minor failures, we will provide a remedy within a reasonable time.
7. AI Estimates — No Liability for Accuracy Variation
InstaQuotes generates cost estimates using AI-assisted processing. These estimates are indicative only and do not constitute professional, financial, or trade advice. They are a starting point for your own assessment, not a substitute for it.
You are solely responsible for reviewing all line items, verifying costs against current market rates, applying your own markup, and confirming accuracy before sending any quote to an end client. InstaQuotes makes no warranty that AI-generated estimates will match real-world costs.
Variation between an InstaQuotes-generated estimate and actual costs — however significant — is not grounds for a refund, compensation, or claim of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect or unauthorised, we strongly encourage you to contact support@instaquotes.com.au first, as most issues are resolved within 2 business days. If a chargeback is initiated through your bank or card issuer, your InstaQuotes account may be suspended while we investigate the dispute with our payment processor. This suspension is a security and fraud-prevention measure, not a penalty for exercising your rights.
9. Force Majeure and Third-Party Provider Failures
InstaQuotes relies on third-party infrastructure providers including, without limitation, OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, Microsoft Exchange (transactional email), Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Sentry, and Google Maps Platform. InstaQuotes will not be liable for service failures, delays, or interruptions caused by the acts or omissions of these providers, or by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to telecommunications failures, natural disasters, government action, or widespread internet outages.
In such cases, we will use reasonable endeavours to restore service promptly. Where a third-party failure constitutes a major failure of a consumer guarantee under Australian Consumer Law, your rights under Section 6 apply.
10. Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint or dispute arising under this refund policy, please contact us first at support@instaquotes.com.au. We will endeavour to resolve your complaint within 10 business days.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through our support process, either party may refer the matter to the courts of New South Wales, Australia, or — where the claim falls within the relevant monetary threshold — to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT).
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this refund policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified to existing subscribers at least 14 days before they take effect.
12. Governing Law
This refund policy is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
